- Account and profile information (such as login credentials, service details, and verification details).
- Identity verification information you submit, including your name, phone number, home address, face photo, government-issued photo ID images, and related upload metadata.
- Case and service-related information you choose to share (which may include sensitive details).
- Communications (such as messages, emails, and call notes).
Information collected automatically
- Security and technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser type, request time, and error information.

- With your advertising permission, campaign information such as UTM parameters, referring website, and Google, Meta, or Nextdoor click identifiers.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as explained in "Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising" below.
Information from third parties
- Payment confirmation and service-order status from payment processors (we do not receive full payment card details).
- Analytics and advertising information from providers that help us understand website use, attribute sales, measure marketing performance, and build eligible Meta or Nextdoor remarketing audiences from approved general pages.
Information about other individuals
As part of providing investigative or security-related services, you may provide information about other individuals. You represent that you have the legal right to share that information with us for the requested purpose.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Services, including supporting client portal access and paid service-package bookings.
- Process transactions and send service-related notices (such as booking confirmations and billing updates).
- Communicate with you, respond to requests, and provide customer support.
- Improve, secure, and maintain the Services, including fraud prevention and abuse detection.
- Understand which advertisements and website pages lead to consultations and purchases, evaluate lead quality without using intake answers for ad targeting, and improve future advertising.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: With vendors who help us operate the Services (for example, hosting, analytics, customer support, and payment processing), under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
- Legal and safety: If required by law, court order, or governmental request; or to protect the safety, rights, and property of Crime Fixer, our clients, or others.
- With your direction: When you ask us to share information (for example, with your attorney).
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to customary protections.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Necessary storage supports website security and checkout. Crime Fixer enables analytics, advertising measurement, and session replay when the page-specific restrictions below allow them. Global Privacy Control automatically keeps advertising and session replay off, and browser controls can block or clear cookies and other website storage.
Google Analytics and Google Ads
Google Consent Mode starts optional storage in a denied state while the website loads its measurement settings. Analytics is enabled by default so Google Analytics can measure pages viewed, engagement, scroll depth, navigation, and high-level funnel progress. Advertising measurement is enabled unless Global Privacy Control is active, allowing Google to use campaign identifiers to measure advertising performance. Crime Fixer disables Google ad personalization and does not create Google remarketing audiences from website visits.
Meta advertising
When Global Privacy Control is not active, the Meta Pixel may measure visits and interactions on the homepage, About, and product pages for advertising measurement and eligible remarketing. It is not enabled on crime, guide, service, Instant Estimate, consultation, checkout, state, city, private-investigator, or private-detective pages. When PayPal confirms a purchase, Crime Fixer may also send Meta a server-verified purchase event containing the amount, currency, a transaction-specific event identifier, campaign identifiers, and one-way hashes of the purchaser's email address, phone number, and Crime Fixer client identifier. The one-way hashes are used for advertising measurement and matching; Crime Fixer does not send payment-card information.
Nextdoor advertising
When Global Privacy Control is not active, the Nextdoor Pixel may measure page visits on the homepage, About, and product pages for campaign measurement and eligible remarketing. It is not enabled on crime, guide, service, Instant Estimate, consultation, checkout, state, city, private-investigator, or private-detective pages. Automatic advanced matching is disabled, so Crime Fixer does not provide names, email addresses, phone numbers, or street addresses to Nextdoor through the browser Pixel. When PayPal confirms a purchase, Crime Fixer may send Nextdoor a reporting-restricted server event containing the purchase value, a transaction-specific event identifier, a consented Nextdoor click identifier, and one-way hashes of the purchaser's email address, phone number, and Crime Fixer client identifier. Crime Fixer does not send payment-card information, intake answers, case details, service addresses, or investigation-subject information.
Hotjar
When Global Privacy Control is not active, Hotjar may provide heatmaps and recordings on the homepage, About, and product pages. Hotjar is not enabled on crime, guide, service, Instant Estimate, consultation, checkout, state, city, private-investigator, private-detective, portal, or admin pages. Form values and sensitive page content are excluded from session replay.
Campaign attribution and restricted information
When measurement storage is available, Crime Fixer stores first-touch and most-recent campaign attribution for up to 90 days so a later consultation or purchase can be connected to the advertising that led to it. We do not send intake answers, case details, appointment details, service addresses, uploaded files, portal activity, or the identity of an investigation subject to Google Ads, Meta, Nextdoor, or Hotjar.
The website may use the following third-party tools:
- Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Ads
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API
- Nextdoor Pixel and Nextdoor Conversions API
- Hotjar, only when session replay is allowed
- Google Maps (loaded only when map content is available on a page)
Crime Fixer does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define advertising cookies or disclosures to advertising providers as "selling," "sharing," or targeted advertising. Crime Fixer may enable these technologies on eligible general marketing pages. You can limit them through supported Global Privacy Control signals and your browser's cookie or website-storage controls. Blocking certain necessary storage may affect site functionality.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Consented first-touch and most-recent campaign attribution is retained for up to 90 days unless it becomes part of a transaction or service record that must be retained longer. Crime Fixer's conversion ledger may retain transaction identifiers, purchase value, consent state, and campaign attribution with the associated business record. IP address and user-agent data temporarily queued for server-side advertising delivery are removed after delivery finishes or permanently fails.
Identity verification details, including face photos, photo ID images, and related profile information, are retained while your account remains active and thereafter only as long as reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, safety screening, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and recordkeeping. Service records and client data tied to completed work may be retained for up to 7 years unless a longer retention period is required by law, court order, or an active dispute. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.
6. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can use your browser's cookie and website-storage controls to limit analytics, advertising, or session replay. When a browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Crime Fixer keeps advertising and session replay off. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, and to opt out of certain processing such as targeted advertising. You may opt out of non-essential marketing communications by following the instructions in our messages.
To make a request, contact us using the information in the Contact Us section below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
8. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
